Located in the National Liberation Memorial Building, Army Museum Zizkov is a must-visit while you are on your trip to explore Prague. If you are a patriotic person, then you are going to love this place. The entrance to the museum is free; thus, there is no hassle of worrying about your budget at all.

The museum has four halls, basically. Three of them have things from the dusty pages of history, displayed in them permanently. They are dedicated to the Czech military and political history. On the other hand, the 4th hall has temporary exhibitions. They are held for a little time, and then the show closes.

The three halls that have been permanently dedicated to the history of Czech military and political history are based on yearly lapses.
1914-1918 Hall
It is the first hall from the entrance and is located on the ground floor. This hall contains the weapons, badges, and uniforms of the warriors from the first world war. The documentation of how the Czech Republic was discovered is also displayed in this hall. You will be able to read through the struggles of the Czech people and how they fought for their independence in this documentation. It holds a lot of importance in the life of the people of the Czech Republic. Many paintings of the some of the most famous ministers have also been displayed in here.
1918-1939 Hall
This hall has all the information about Czech being indulged in several wars during this period and is on the second section of the building. Documentations related to the operations are also displayed in this hall. It also consists of all the degrees of the White Lion, along with weapons and uniforms of the military officers who lost their lives between the wars.
1939-1945 Hall
This is the 3rd hall, and it contains different models of mechanical devices of the military along with badges and banners of army officers. It is located on the third floor of the building; you take the stairs! This hall is basically dedicated to the Czech resistance fighters. Moreover, it has the uniform of Prime Minister of the Protectorate Alois Elias displayed in here as well. In this hall, a proper slideshow of some of the most critical military operations. To add the appropriate effect of it, the slideshow is accompanied by sound effects as well.
Opening Hours and Entrance
Army museum opens from Tuesday to Sunday at 10 am and closes at 6 pm. There is no entrance fee or ticket. You can visit at any time, during the open hours and can easily access the halls within the building.
